One of the most famous operatic works, composed by the Frenchman George Bizet, full of passion, drama, and Spanish rhythms.

The opera's action takes place in Seville and tells the story of Carmen, a seductive Gypsy working in a cigar factory, and Don Jose, a soldier who abandons his service and beloved for her... However, the beautiful Carmen soon falls in love with the toreador Escamillo, and the whole situation becomes very complicated.

The opera contains many famous arias, including the Habanera aria and the Toreador aria. Today, Carmen is one of the most frequently performed operas in the world.
